Application for Bachelor's Thesis defence at the additional October call

Description

Undergraduate students enrolled in a Bachelor's Final Thesis in the spring semester (Q2) who are unable to submit their work during the standard assessment periods of the academic year of enrolment may opt for an additional enrolment in the following semester or a standard enrolment in the following academic year or later.

Additional Final Thesis enrolment

Additional enrolment grants the right to defend the thesis during the additional assessment period in October of the following academic year and entails the payment of administrative service fees (record management, learning support, and student insurance, where applicable).

Students enrolled in a spring-semester (Q2) Final Thesis group who have been unable to submit their thesis during any of the three standard assessment periods of the academic year of enrolment (October, February and July) and wish to defend it during the additional assessment period must submit a request at e-Secretaria, as specified in this procedure. Under no circumstances should the online enrolment process for the Final Thesis be used as it will be considered standard enrolment—not additional enrolment—with all the associated implications.

Students with additional enrolment who do not defend their Bachelor's Final Thesis or who fail during the additional assessment period must formally register for the Final Thesis as standard enrolment for the following academic year, paying the full enrolment fee plus the corresponding surcharge for repeating the course, as stipulated in the Generalitat de Catalunya's Price Decree.

Standard Final Thesis enrolment

Standard enrolment entitles the student to defend the thesis during one of the assesment periods for the academic year of enrolment (October, February or July).

Standard enrolment is completed on the assigned enrolment date at e-Secretaria online enrolment system and entails payment of the full enrolment fee, including any applicable surcharge for repeating the course, as stipulated in the Generalitat de Catalunya's Price Decree.
