Explain mathematics in 60 seconds: Take part in the “CaminsMath Challenge”!

Sep 18, 2026

Registration is now open for the challenge that blends mathematical rigor, engineering, and audiovisual creativity. You have until October 2nd to sign up and compete for €500 in cash prizes as well as academic recognition.

The Escola de Camins announces a new edition of the CaminsMath Challenge, one of the first-semester challenges within the Camins Challenges program. Coordinated by professors David Codony and Alberto García, the competition stems from the CaminsMath teaching innovation project and challenges students to explain a mathematical concept applied to engineering through a short video.

All students enrolled at the Escola de Camins—both bachelor's and master's degree students—can participate, either individually or in pairs. Participants will benefit from tutorial sessions and a masterclass led by a science communication expert from Expli.cat.

Check out all the details, the list of suggested topics, and complete your registration on the official CaminsMath Challenge website.
