Professor Climent Molins Borrell proclaimed elected Director of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DECA).

The elections for the DECA directorship recorded a voter turnout of 81.63%, comfortably exceeding the regulatory threshold of one-third of the Council.
The Following the completion of the vote counting, the official results are as follows:
- Climent Molins: 93 votes (Elected candidate upon securing more than 50% of the support).
- Riccardo Rossi: 51 votes.
- Blank votes: 16 votes.
The inauguration ceremony will take place next Wednesday, July 8th at 11:00 AM in the C1-002 Dissertation Room (Sala de Tesines).
Background and Research
Climent Molins, professor at the Escola de Camins, is a Full Professor assigned to DECA and holds a solid institutional track record at UPC, having previously served as Vice-Rector for Transfer, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. As a leading researcher within the ATEM (Analysis and Technology of Structures and Materials) group, he is an international benchmark in advanced structural analysis and the development of floating structures for offshore wind energy.
