Within the framework of the presentation of LEIA UPC —the University's new strategic Artificial Intelligence program— students Aleix Cases and Martí Warda have been awarded the runner-up prize (accèssit) in the team category of the first IA Challenge UPC competition.

The Vèrtex Building Auditorium hosted yesterday’s award ceremony for the IA Challenge, a competition designed to foster creative AI-driven solutions among UPC students.

Our students, Aleix Cases and Martí Warda, took to the stage to accept the runner-up award for the best overall project at the university. This recognition highlights their ability to apply AI tools to solve complex problems, a skill increasingly sought after in the engineering sector.

This achievement reaffirms the profile of excellence and high academic performance that characterizes the students of the School. It demonstrates that we do not only train expert technicians but also innovative professionals capable of utilizing cutting-edge technologies to improve the world.
