Documentation required for Master's Degree admission

In the following sections you can consult how to submit the required documentation to access any UPC master's degree, before the completion of your studies.

  ATTENTION!

  • UPC bachelor's degree students do not need to submit any of the documents listed below.
  • You will not be able to obtain your master's degree or request academic transcripts until you have submitted all the required documentation.
  • It is essential to read this page carefully and in full to ensure you follow all the instructions correctly.

Documentation to be uploaded at e-Secretaria > Document input

Please take into account that:
  • Only academic documents in Spanish, Catalan or English are accepted. For other languages, it is necessary to provide the original document and a sworn translation into one of the indicated languages.
  • You can only attach the degree (or document that replaces it) and the transcript of records if they are certified electronic copies. That is, they contain the secure verification code (cvs) and/or QR code to verify their authenticity in the university's electronic office (or the body that has legalized or or stamped the apostille in the documents issued outside the European Union).
  • You only need to submit the B2 (or higher) English level certificate in the case of the following master's degrees:
  • Check that you have chosen the correct concept (Document Type) for each document, in the drop-down menu at e-Secretaria > Document input.
  • Identity document:

      ATTENTION!

People with a second Spanish nationality must attach their Spanish ID card (instead of their passport) so that the nationality recorded in the system is Spanish.

  • Document legalizing your stay in Spain:

      ATTENTION!

You have up to 3 months to submit it after enrolment.
Consult on the UPC Academic Secretariat - SGA how to do this procedure the minute you arrive to Barcelona.

  • Degree or document that replaces the degree while it is pending issuance:
Certified electronic copy of the degree or replacement document that contains the secure verification code (cvs) or QR code.

      ATTENTION!

Attach all pages of the document in a single PDF, including the translation, if necessary. For non-EU degrees, the apostille/diplomatic legalization must be included.
To generate a single PDF of multiple documents that are digitally signed or protected
you need to have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed:

    • 1. Select all documents with the mouse
    • 2. Right-click and choose "Combine files in Acrobat"
    • 3. Press the "Combine" button and save as "Portfolio".
  • Official transcript of records:
Certified copy of the transcript of records, containing the CVS and/or QR code. You must follow the same instructions you followed to attach the degree, translation, legalization/apostille and generate a single PDF file.
  • Declaration of Equivalence of foreign higher education qualifications:
This document is obtained from the website of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities - General Secretariat of Universities. People who have applied for access to the master's degree (pre-registration) at another university do not need to submit this document.
