The world is changing and it needs professionals who are able to provide innovative, creative ans sustainable solutions from a global perspective using the knowledge of the twenty-first century.

Civil Engineering is an essential part of the development of future societies. It contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of the people, environmental protection and economic growth.
Academic year starts September
Duration 6 years. Depending on the student's academic performance, the program is designed to pursue tracks that would allow students to finalize their studies in 5 academic years.

To access the degree studies of Barcelona School of Civil Engineering, you must obtain a place through the university pre-enrolment procedure of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Career opportunities

The Academic Program promotes the acquisition and development of the skills needed to join engineering companies, builders, consultants, government organizations or research institutes, both national and international. The management of equipment in maritime or coastal areas, water resources and water supply, in structural projects, land use planning, logistics, transport and environment and computer mechanics, are some of the career opportunities, but increasingly Engineers are involved in various areas of business, thanks to their ability to analyze and solve complex problems, skills highly valued in the various industrial and service sectors.

Learning objectives

    You will be professionals with a transversal and versatile vision, with a solid training in basic sciences and technologies, and who will have a great analytical and instrumental capacity, very well prepared to understand and solve problems, and to master instruments of knowledge and management of complex systems, in particular linked to the territory and the environment.

  • These studies enable you to practice the regulated profession of Technical Engineering in Public Works.
  • Upon completion of the degree, you will have the option to access the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.

The Bachelor's and Master's Theses are an original exercise to be done individually and presented and defended before a university panel consisting in a project in the sphere of the specific civil engineering technologies synthesizing and integrating the competences acquired on the course.

The SAP in Civil Engineering allows for students to make the Bachelor's and Master's Theses jointly.
