The Barcelona School of Civil Engineering joins the European debate on sustainable mobility through the Unite! Alliance
Mar 31, 2026
The Unite! alliance of technological universities, including UPC, is promoting the Sustainable Mobility Forum (U!SMF), a seminar series connecting the expertise of seven leading European institutions. Professors from our School’s Transport and Territory Infrastructure section are actively participating as keynote speakers.
This forum provides an online exchange platform for master's students from seven European universities (TU Darmstadt, UPC, PoliTO, KTH, ULisboa, PWR, and Aalto University) and EIT Urban Mobility. The objective is to foster a critical and cross-disciplinary vision that integrates digital technology, transport engineering, and climate action.
The forum will feature renowned professors from the Barcelona School of Civil Engineering:
- Francesc Robusté: Expert in transport planning, with sessions focusing on the strategic vision of sustainable transport.
- Francesc Soriguera: Providing expertise in traffic management and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
Seminars are held on Fridays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (CET) in a virtual format. They are open to the academic community, industry experts, and the general public interested in the sector's challenges. Upcoming topics include:
- Automated transport systems.
- Urban logistics and climate resilience.
- Artificial Intelligence applied to traffic engineering.
- Mobility infrastructure for sustainable cities.
